We are a farm to fiber operation. Our small farm hosts a flock of fiber sheep including Finn, Cotswold, Cheviot, Merino, Shetland, Tunis,
Texel, Rambouillet and Teeswater. We use our Belfast Minimill equipment to process our fleeces on site. In addition we purchase some fiber from selected local farms to add to our mix. Alpaca is purchased from local operators. Some of our roving products add bamboo, rayon, nylon or silk. Any superwash yarns in our hand dyed selections are purchased from other mills as we do not do the superwash process. We dye our yarn on premises using a selection of natural dyes and commercial dyes. We pride ourselves on our small environmental footprint.

Fibernymph Dye Works
Now in our eighth year, FDW continues to specialize in the colorful self-striping colorways for which we’re best known! Dyed on a variety of yarn weights, they’re perfect for socks, hats, cowls, and everything in between. Also popular in our collection is an array of hand-painted sock blanks, speckled colorways, mini sets, and spinning fiber to meet your crafty desires.

Calling Volunteers!
The third critical leg that makes our IKS family stand are the volunteers that help our vendors (legs number one and two being our vendors and you). If you are interested in helping out with moving our vendors in, making sure they are fed throughout the day, or helping with some front table activities just drop us an email at indieknitandspin@gmail.com to let us know. We need helpers for Friday evening and all day Saturday (help out for as much or as little as you can).
Vendors will earn extra tickets for giveaways and will receive an IKS tote bag for 4 hours of volunteering.
