Wild Rose Farm is located in the rolling hills of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s Beaver County. Wool from our fine wool Rambouillet ewes is custom processed into “next to the skin” soft yarns as well as combed top and is then hand-dyed on the farm using natural dyes. Combed top braids are available & ready for your own dyeing project. Yarns include a bulky 2-ply art yarn, 2-ply DK, and 3-ply DK-ish custom yarn. Our Dorset ewes produce a medium wool that is made into quilt batts and pencil roving. We also have washed wool locks for Santa beards and crafting as well as llama wool Troll Hair locks. We carry a selection of Merino DK superwash and Merino lace weight yarns hand dyed with our natural dyes.

At SpaceCadet, we start with luxury fibers — merino wool, silk, linen, and bamboo — and then take the time to mix every dyebath by hand from primary colours, meaning every colourway is created using only five basic shades of dye, resulting in hand-dyed yarns and fiber that are a truly unique connection between the dyer and knitter or crocheter. It takes longer to dye this way, to be sure, but it allows us and our customers to immerse ourselves in colour exploration in a way that is worth all the extra effort!
Our colourways are all designed to work together, creating collections of semi-solids and variegateds that we mix and match with our customers right in our booth and which we use to create our gradient Sweater Sets that are designed to be easy to size up or down on the spot. And our constant experimentation with colour leads to lots of amazing one-of-a-kind yarns and mini-skeins that our customers love to pour through at shows.
Started as a one-woman operation in 2010, we have grown to a small team with a passionate, driving belief is that knitting and crocheting make people happier, deep down inside, and that nothing does that more than working with gorgeous, vibrant yarn. For us, dyeing is a cosmic adventure, one that allows us to follow our passion, share it with customers who feel the same, and to get to know them (and their beautiful FOs!) personally.

I design and make accessories for knitters. Shawl pins, stitch markers, knitting inspired jewelry. I also make Portuguese knitting tools. I am a knitter, so I try to design items that have form and function, pretty to wear and useable at the same time.

The PrAiry is a pretty little farm where alpaca and specialty wool sheep happily graze in the meadows and grow wonderful fleeces that I share with the discriminating hand spinner, yarn addict, and fun fiber felter.
I dye some fleeces and have them spun into small batches of yarn unique to the individual animal that grew the fleece.
Once a year I invite fiber friends to the farm to meet Lucy, June Bug, Lady and the other specialty wool animals that grew the fleece that you used for your shawl or sweater or socks or hat. Take the opportunity to connect with the animal that provided you with your fiber fun.
Wonderful fleeces are offered to the discriminating hand spinner and lovely locks are available for felters, too. Finished woven articles and gifts are offered as time to make them permits.
