We provide natural colored fiber and yarn from my farm and fiber mill and hand dyed fiber and yarn sourced from reputable producers. Yarns are dyed using professional grade acid dyes and naturally sourced botanicals in my dedicated smoke free animal friendly dye studio. A member of the Livestock Conservancy, we participate in the Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em program.
We raise Leicester Longwool sheep and Angora goats on a farm in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. We have their fleeces spun into luxurious and beautiful yarns. All yarns are hand-dyed on the farm or we leave them in natural colors. It is the natural sheen that knitters, crocheters and weavers love.
We love to dye and to manipulate fabric and garments! We find great joy in changing the state of a medium through color and stitching, taking immense pride in the uncommon pieces that we create. We started experimenting with indigo-shibori dying, making kitchen aprons for Marcella who is a professional chef. Since Yanira is a long time knitter it was only natural to create knitting/project bags and dye yarn. Lately we have added ice-dying to our line of ready-to-wear overdyed pieces that are just amazing. We are based in Pittsburgh, PA with a dyeing studio in Asheville, NC.
