What is your current favorite thing?
My favorite thing that I make, that’s a tough question. I love my fandom stuff. No particular fandom for myself but I’m just really happy to make it and have such great reactions whenever someone sees it. Brutally honest, I keep one of EVERYTHING fandom for myself.

This year I have wanted to bring more supporting tools and goodies to the table. For years I’ve been selling Eucalan and knitting notions, but recently I started carrying Greener Shades dyes. These are free of heavy metals, but still full of pizazz. I have each of the nine colors in 1/2 jars, but also carry a mixing kit for those who want to get started with the basics.

In addition to the dyes, I have just begun to stock a new type of spindle along with niddy-noddies for winding skeins of yarn. These pieces are handcrafted in Cincinnati, OH using maple and beech. I will have beginner kits that include fiber and spindle, but the spindles will be available individually as well.

Along with my combed top, carded batts, curly locks, and other woolly goods, I have added more silk! You will find small bags of silk noil to use on your blending board or drumcarder. I have also been dyeing silk hankies for spinning. And there are new handdyed silk chiffon scarves for you to use in your next nuno felting project.

What is your current favorite color or color combo?
I love bright, bold colors, and I always find myself drawn toward putting them together in new combinations. I’ve recently added several “electric” dyes to my line up, and they add such a satisfying pop to the items that get knit up with them!

I dye a variety of Inversibles sets, which include two “inversed” striping half-skeins of yarn to create fun matched but mis-matched pairs of socks, mitts or other creations that will showcase the skeins’ oppositeness. Show here, my Autumn Inverisbles, with one autumn orange stripe and one multi-colored autumn speckled stripe.

A favorite winter self-striping colorway with six stripes, Winter’s Wizards, was inspired by Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s Wizards in Winter. It’s shown on my Traveler sport weight base.

Socks blanks are fun to dye and fun to knit with…these blanks feature designs created with various resist, handpainted and speckled dye techniques. I offer blanks in yarn bases both with and without sparkle.

What is your current favorite color or color combo?
My favourite colours at the moment are the gunmetals and greens that we just dyed on some of the sweater kits that we’re bringing to Indie Knit & Spin. They’re simultaneously cool and warm, they have elements of both the natural and the industrial. I’m kind of obsessed with them and I really really really just want to keep them all for myself! The fawn worsted weight alpaca blend yarn is my favorite new colorway. (see below for pic!)

A sweet blend of natural fawn, salmon, and bronze green on some of the softest yarn ever.

This hand dyed mohair blend boucle yarn is hand spun mohair and merino blend fiber and dyed in a blend of fall colors.

This is our brand new Jacob lopi spun yarn. Gorgeous soft gray and loads of texture.

This is our white Confetti Yarn. It is a blend of alpaca, merino wool, and multi-colored silk noils in a worsted weight yarn. We also have this product in black and fawn.

This prize includes 2 skeins of yarn by Destination Yarn and a pattern by Mindy Wilkes. This colorway “Cincinnati Ceramic” was inspired by the colors of Rookwood Pottery. Dusty pinks through greys, blues, and greens. The complimentary color “Ceramic Pink” is a pale peach/pink that pairs with the variegated yarn perfectly. Inspired by the textures and motifs of Rookwood Pottery the shawl is knit from the bottom up and includes short row shaping in garter stitch.
